Sephora New Credit Cards

Spending money in Sephora is easy. I can’t even count the number of times I walked into Sephora and walked out with an iconic black and white bag filled with foundation, palette, moisturizer, eyeliner, beauty blender and the samples I can get my hands on.

Even when I travel around the world, I would find myself walking into a Sephora store or two just to check things out. From layouts to exclusive-items and sampling everything I can.

Sephora just annouced that it would launch a new credit card offering rewards beyond the existing Beauty Insider loyalty program.

The three cards, a Sephora Credit Card, Sephora Visa Credit Card and Sephora Visa Signature Credit Card will be available to select US shoppers in the next few months before being rolled out to all US stores and sephora.com.eing rolled out to all US stores and sephora.com. (sucks to be out of USA and they even have much more products than us)

According to Allure, anyone who opts in for the Sephora Visa Signature Credit Card will also have access to selected Visa cardholder benefits, including discounted travel prices, lounge access at airports, and luxury accommodation deals. Becoming a Sephora card holder (of any kind) will also auto-sign you up to the Sephora Beauty Insider program, if you’re not already a member.

“The Sephora Credit Card was the natural next step in our loyalty journey, truly adding even more value that our clients can use not only within our stores, but also in their day-to-day lives,” said Andrea Zaretsky, Sephora’s senior vice president of CRM and loyalty.

She told WWD that the credit card program is expected to increase loyalty and help “unlock the power” of customer data.

Maintaining Healthy Looking Skin

We go through a basic skincare regime everyday with Cleanser – Tone – Moisturise (Day & Night). We learn and know how to repair or treat a problem when needed. Hyaluronic Acid when you have dry skin, tea tree oil when you have acne.

But how often do we treat our skin properly without irritating and damaging it further in the long run?

When I first found Celltrex Ultra sitting on my mother’s vanity table, I was curious and picked it up. Tested and tried it like any curious beauty-addict would do. Finally, i looked it up and i was curious. I then asked my mom what it was and she gave me the remaining bottle of what she had.

This was two years ago, and I’ve been hooked since.

It’s literally insurance for your skin.

Why do I say it’s Insurance For Your Skin?

It protects the skin from free radical damage, dust, pollution and all that jazz. It helps to keep skin looking supple, smooth and healthy.

I know they are a few other products out there that promotes on protecting your skin from dust and pollution while providing long term benefit, but with Celltrex Ultra, it also rebounds from daily oxidative stress.

It’s like insurance for your skin as in the long run, you are protected from damage, you’ll age gracefully and keeping your skin radiance and healthy.

It’s not just repairing temporary or what’s on the surface, but keeping your skin safe on the long-run deep within your skin.

Contains patented polyphenol hydroxytyrosol, the most powerful component of Mediterranean extra virgin olive oil, which scavenges skin aging free radicals. Just a few drops of Celltrex® Ultra keeps your skin looking supple, firm, and healthy.

Celltrex Ultra Recovery Fluid fits in the treatment step and should be applied after toning and before moisturizing in the evening to help the skin recover from the days stress/damages.

Well, Apparently… …

Dermatologists understand that cellular oxidation (sometimes referred to as cellular metabolism) is a source of skin aging. Research has shown that the nutrients, especially hydroxytyrosol, found in extra virgin olive oil can be effective in relieving oxidative stress on cells. To demonstrate the ability of Celltrex® Ultra to minimize oxidation, cut a russet potato* in half and spread Celltrex® Ultra Recovery Fluid onto one half of the potato. Do not apply any product to the other half of the potato. Place the two halves side by side and examine both halves of the potato after fifteen minutes. You will notice, the half of the potato with Celltrex® Ultra still looks fresh, while the untreated half is beginning to brown. The longer you wait, the more dramatic the difference between the two halves becomes. *A russet potato will provide the most visually compelling results.

Personal Experience:

I’ve used this for over two years and I never really noticed what a difference it made until I stopped using it a year ago. My skin started to dry up in patches with flaky skin, acne and larger pores, as well as eczema and rosecea due to the dry skin especially over the winter seasons and throughout the period of 8 months. After 6 months of trying to figure out why, I finally got my hands on another new bottle of Celltrex Ultra and all the problems went away. So it’s definitely a holy grail and a highly recommended product for those who wants to be protected and have nice supple skin in the long run.

Bioderma – The Rumors Are True

From sensitive skin to dry skin to oily/Acne skin, Bioderma covers you all.

As we all know, our skin are complicated, there are sensitive and oily or sensitive and dry, or acne with oily skin or acne with dry skin. But regardless which, Bioderma is here to save your day!! #ikidyounot #notjoking
I would say I’ve tried more than half of what Bioderma owns. Okay maybe not more than half but majority of the best selling AND secret holy grail ones. #yesiamsharingthesecret

As far as I remember, Bioderma was one of the first brands that sold the micellar water and it was highly raved then.
Today, there are many micellar water available in the market, dupes and competitors. From Eucerin to Garnier, L’Oréal to Lamer and so many more that it’s everywhere.

Some dupes are definitely cheaper, some may clean as efficient, some may sting your eye and so on so forth.
I have sensitive skin and everyone knows that, and here is where the dupes make a difference.

  • Garnier may clean better but it stings my eyes and my irritates my skin.
  • L’Oréal stings really bad, not just the eyes but my cheeks as well.
  • La Roche-Posay did not clean as well and I found myself having the need to  use more than usual to remove my every-day face.
  • Avene left my skin feeling there’s a lipid layer.
  • Sephora stings my eyes and has a floral + alcohol scent to it. Avoiding the eyes were fine but it definitely left my skin dry.
  • Simple has a botanical herb scent and left my skin dry.
  • Nivea needed a few extra swipe to clean as well, although it didn’t leave my skin drying, I felt like I needed to spend more time cleaning my face.
  • Eucerin may not sting but it has a scent to it.

Please remember that these are my personal opinions.

Bioderma has three different range on their skincare range and each comes with the Micellar Water. I’ve tried all three and none of them make difference

Hydrabio – Dry Skin
Sensibio – Sensitive Skin
Sebium – For oily skin

With Bioderma, my skin is never dry and it even removes all the waterproof makeup that I have. So if you haven’t tried it. Give it a go!
